A little bit of History
"The first bridge, Constitution Station. At my feet
the shunting trains trace iron labyrinths.
Steam hisses up and up into the night,
which becomes at a stroke the night of the Last Judgment."
Mateo, XXV, 30 - Jorge Luis Borges

The land that has come to be known as the neighborhood of Constitución lie 6 blocks away from the original outline, from 1580. In 1857 the square was named “Mercado de Constitución” (Constituición’s Market) and in 1865 the first Southern Railroad was opened.
This is how it became the main link to seaside locations such as Mar del Plata, as well as to other provinces, such as Córdoba or the touristy sites of Bariloche. Constitución was and is the most important transportation center of Buenos Aires, from here more than one million people a day commute to other points of the city. For this very reason this building was chosen, only 30 meters away from train and subway.
On those days, the renowned architect H.N. Bengolea Cárdenas -awarded in several opportunities by the city- together with the company Pedro y Antonio Larrusse designed and equipped our hotel in a modern classic English style, bringing the most out of the spacious common areas and of the hotel's 140 rooms, built with materials of the finest quality.
Over the course of time, some details were incorporated to ensure the comfort of our guests. Today our hotel is the top ranked in the three stars category in the city and a true emblem of Constitución, and its staff exceeds in warmth and professionalism.
